Twelve rooms, one staircase, a restaurant on the ground floor, and an 1832 building on one of the best blocks in Philadelphia. On a full buyout, Society Hill Hotel sleeps up to about twenty-eight people — and feels, for the weekend, like a house the whole party happens to share.

We’re a twelve-room walk-up, not a ballroom hotel. That makes us a great fit for certain kinds of events — and an honest mismatch for others.
Wedding weekends
House the couple, immediate family, and wedding party in one building. Rehearsal dinner downstairs, ceremony or reception at a nearby venue, everyone walks home.
Rehearsal dinners & private parties
Piccolina handles intimate private dining on the ground floor. Overnight rooms upstairs for out-of-town guests who don't want to drive back across town.
Milestone birthdays & reunions
Twelve rooms, one hallway, one historic stairwell. Grandparents, cousins, and college friends, all under one 1832 roof.
Corporate offsites & brand trips
A small, design-forward base camp in the walkable heart of Old City. Great for leadership retreats, press trips, or a founder's week in Philadelphia.
Film, photo & production
Period-correct interiors, four stories of character, and the option to control access for a shoot or activation.

Pricing is quoted per weekend and depends on dates, room mix, and whether you’re booking private dining downstairs. We’ll put a full estimate together once we know what you’re planning.

- Every guest gets their own keycode by text — no front desk queue, no lost key cards.
- Piccolina introduction
- If you want private dining downstairs, we'll make the intro. Piccolina is an independent restaurant with their own team and book.
- Old City on foot
- Independence Hall, Elfreth's Alley, the waterfront, and most ceremony venues are a short walk away.
Dinner downstairs
Piccolina for the rehearsal dinner, the welcome drink, the morning after.
Piccolina is a contemporary Italian restaurant on our ground floor. They’re independent — separate team, separate kitchen, separate book — but they do host private events, and a full hotel buyout is exactly the moment to consider it.
Tell us what you’re imagining when you inquire, and we’ll coordinate the introduction so you’re not negotiating two vendors in parallel.
